Titwood Bowling Club

Titwood Bowling Club
You will enjoy a tour of our Arts & Crafts style pavilion Clubhouse and a presentation describing and showing some of the key historical information from opening in 1890 through to its current commitment playing a large part as the heart of the community in Pollokshields. This will be the first time Titwood Bowling Club has participated in Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival and we are looking forward to welcoming visitors from near and far! We’ll have bowls available should you and your family wish to try a game and Clubhouse will be open for tea/coffee or refreshments if you want to drop in as part of a wider tour of Pollokshields. Come and have some fun! The Club was founded in 1890 and has played a central role in the social and recreational life of Pollokshields and the surrounding area ever since. Our purpose is to promote participation in bowling and since first opening for play, the Club has enabled many to learn and enjoy the game whilst several have gone on to compete or represent at the highest level.
