Garden for a Greener Planet

Booking Necessary: Yes

The Hidden Gardens is a beautiful outdoor space, developed in 2003 on the site of the former Coplawhill Tramworks in Pollokshields.
We would love you to join us on Saturday 18th September 1pm – 3.30pm as we explore ways to Garden for a Greener Planet. Volunteer led tours will be available in English and Urdu, where you can learn about the hidden layers of history as this derelict site was transformed into a community resource for people and wildlife. Visitors of all ages can take part in activities – discover how plants adapt to different climates; take part in a Bioblitz with RSPB to help us gather information on the wildlife living here; learn about gardening without peat and growing your own garden plants.

Organisation Information:

The Hidden Gardens is a beautiful public oasis located in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow.
It is an urban greenspace where you can relax away from the busy city streets, discover nature, get creative and connect with friends and neighbours.
We work to promote community integration and intercultural dialogue, and to build trust and understanding between people of all cultures, faiths and backgrounds through horticulture, nature, creativity and collaboration.
