We are an artist-run creative co-operative providing a supportive platform for new graduates and early year creatives as a stepping-stone into their artistic career, founded by graduates of the Glasgow School of Art. We are a non-profit arts venue, with three spaces across the High Street and Saltmarket thoroughfare: Salt Gallery at 270 High Street, Salt Community Space at 98 Saltmarket, Salt MakerSpace studios and shop at 142 Saltmarket.

Further details: Our main door is at ground floor, however there is an incline on the street and a wedge-shaped step at the entrance measuring 5cm high on the left running down to 3.5cm high on the right, with an uneven surface. With advance notice we can provide assistance if required. There is one non-automatic door, opening inwards at the entrance, measuring 93cm / 36.5 inches wide. The door is usually closed to the street. The space inside is level, wheelchair accessible and on a single floor. The floor is hard level concrete. The Space is well-lit with natural daylight, and overhead bulb lighting. Noise levels vary throughout the space. There is background noise all day, and can be very busy. We welcome trained assistance dogs. Circulation space is at least 120cm / 47 inches wide, with removable tables and seats, wheelchair spaces can be created with advance notice. At present, we do not have accessible toilets.
