Welcome to the Scottish Jewish Heritage Centre at Garnethill

A 3 minute film showcasing Garnethill Synagogue and the Scottish Jewish Archives Centre and recently-opened Scottish Jewish Heritage Centre which are based in the Synagogue.

Organisation Information:

Garnethill Synagogue is the home of The Scottish Jewish Archives Centre, Garnethill Hebrew Congregation and the newly-opened Scottish Jewish Heritage Centre, which incorporates the Scottish Holocaust-era Study Centre. The Garnethill Synagogue Preservation Trust was set up in 2012 as a registered charitable company to look after the fabric of the building.

The synagogue remains an active place of worship, with a small congregation. The Heritage Centre runs regular guided tours of the building and associated displays about the history of the Jewish Community in Scotland. Schools and researchers can visit the Study Centre to explore the Holocaust era using our Archives.
