SaltSpace – Artist Studio Visit

We are an artist co-operative providing a supportive platform for new graduates and early year creatives as a stepping-stone into their artistic career. Founded in 2019 by graduates of the Glasgow School of Art, we have three venues across the High Street and Saltmarket: Gallery, Community Space, Studio MakerSpace and Shop.

Further details: Our main door is at pavement level with a single non-automatic door, opening inwards at the entrance, measuring 93cm / 36.5 inches wide. The door is usually closed to the street. The space inside is level, and on a single floor. The floor is hard level concrete. The shop space at the front is well-lit with natural daylight, & overhead bulb lighting. The maker space at the rear is lit with overhead lights. We do not currently have a hearing loop available. Noise levels vary throughout the space. There is background noise all day, and can be very busy. We welcome trained assistance dogs. Circulation space is at least 120cm / 47 inches wide in most places. At present, we do not have accessible toilets.
