The Great Glasgow Pottery Tale

A short video visiting the sites of four of Glasgow’s largest industrial export potteries which tells the extraordinary story of Glasgow pottery industry. Glasgow was a major producer and exporter of ceramics during the 19th Century with a truly global trade network. The film identifies the hidden sites of the potteries which were situated along the banks of the Monkland Canal and now lie under the M8, and for the first time reunites pieces made with their historic factory sites.
