The magnificent Glasgow Necropolis is situated in the heart of city, right next to the Cathedral, it is approx 37 acres, with 50,000 interred within its fabulous gates. These are the people who helped establish Glasgow as the second city of the Victorian Empire. From Engineers, Ship Builders, Architects, Poets, Artists, Ministers, and so many more, come and hear their stories by joining us on a friendly and informal tour.

The Friends of Glasgow Necropolis, a registered Scottish Charity, was established in June 2005, Its aim is to conserve the magnificent Glasgow Necropolis, their interests include: family history research, social history, education, cemetery records, architecture and sculpture, architectural conservation, natural history, ecology and tourism.
