The Double Villa, Langside
A rare opportunity to see this private home, the A listed Double Villa, Langside, by ‘Greek’ Thomson, built in 1856-7 and the first of a number of later 19th century hillside villas built on a feu plan in the grounds of the 18th century Langside House. In this owner-led tour of about 45 minutes you will see the exterior and gardens, the panelled and tiled entrance hall, two reception rooms, both panelled polychrome ceiling decoration, the kitchen and the vestibule formed from the small service court area, as well as the Garden Room commissioned from Mark Baines by the present owner, 2004-5.

EXIT is a fully operating DIY, independent and artist run club and arts space which was opened in September 2023. The building on Maxwell St was once home to Fury Murry’s in the late 80s and 90s, and then repurposed into a strip club. The space has a lot of character, with the majority of the strip club interiors remaining largely intact. EXIT has a strong DIY ethos, platforming and growing the local scene and creative community here in Glasgow.
