Formally launched by Glasgow City Council in 2014, the City Centre Mural Trail has become an established part of the city’s cultural offer. adding to its already impressive reputation. Working collaboratively with private landlords, artists, and communities, the murals provide uplifting splashes of colour, helping to address areas of urban blight, and dressing vacant sites, becoming freely accessible art installations; local landmarks which draw upon local historical references and traditional area identities. Now in its tenth year, the City Centre Mural Trail contains over 30 different sites, created by artists from all over the world, and featuring a wide variety of different graphical styles.
