Isabella Elder really knew how to give a gift that lasts. For nearly 140 years the people of Govan have been making great use of their gifted green space, as a place to learn, play, gather and grow. This important green space in Govan is full of stories: national, international, local and personal. You can find out more by taking part in the Elder Park Heritage Trail Challenge.
This is an activity best suited to families with children or the young at heart of all ages, with both digital and hard copy print options to take part. The trail has been translated into a number of languages.
Answer questions about the history and heritage of Elder Park while getting an active walk around Elder Park. When you complete the activity you will have the opportunity to enter the prize draw.
You can pick up your trails or begin the digital trail at the Govan Road entranceway to Elder Park at any point between 2 – 4.30pm. The trail challenge is brought to you by Friends of Elder Park with funding from Govan Cross THI. You will find a version of the trail on the FOEP website and other heritage resources.
