Discover the history of a landmark building and the park project inspired by it.
Roystonhill Spire is the only remaining part of Townhead-Blochairn Parish Church, built 1866 – which featured glass by Cottier and Morris, and sculptures by Mossman. This tour aims to give a flavour of what was one of the most beautifully decorated churches in Scotland, and explains how the Spire was saved to become the centrepiece of a park.
We will be using a fantastic app called Guidigo to present our tours. Guidigo is free to download and makes exploring the city easy and fun!
HOW TO:
1. Download the Guidigo App on your phone.
2. Search in the app for the name of the trail or Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival.
