Starting at the site of the original Queen Margaret Bridge, known locally as Walker’s Bridge, on Queen Margaret Road opposite the Sixty Steps, you will see the ‘door’ in the wall before climbing the Steps.
You will pass Thomson’s idiosyncratic designs on the wall as you go up the Steps. Indentations on the stone balustrade show where magnificent cast iron lamps once stood.
Once at the top take a while to enjoy the garden with fine views down to the Kelvin valley through the pillars of the Belle Vue.
We will be using a fantastic app called Guidigo to present our tours. Guidigo is free to download and makes exploring the city easy and fun!
HOW TO:
1. Download the Guidigo App on your phone.
2. Search in the app for the name of the trail or Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival.
