Fairfield and Fairfield Heritage

Fairfield and Fairfield Heritage
Designed in 1890 to the highest of specifications and with an imposing grandeur that reflected Fairfield’s status as ‘the’ global centre of marine engineering and shipbuilding excellence, this A-listed office building has been imaginatively re-purposed by owners Govan Workspace to accommodate 21st century technology and innovation. This year the following Fairfield businesses will open their doors to allow a glimpse of their studios and discuss the work they do: Firecrest Films, an independent award-winning production company making ambitious documentaries for major UK broadcasters; Craft Prospect, a space engineering firm developing leading-edge satellite technology and TMD, an international marketing agency incorporating some of Scotland’s most talented designers. Together, with fellow tenants, they continue the Fairfield legacy of design and engineering excellence and are proud to be in Govan. The Fairfield Heritage museum will also be open to visit with kids activities available on both days and archival material from the Govan Reminiscence Group on Saturday.
