Join us on an entertaining tour of this unique facility from enjoying a walk through our cottage style memorial garden, experiencing the beauty of renown works of stained glass by The Glasgow Boys and appreciate the social heritage of the site. You will be escorted and guided around this stunning neoclassical, gothic build, which was designed to appease Victorian sensibility and delivering sensitive and hygienic funerals to all classes of society at an affordable cost. You will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and see the crematoria workings from several perspectives with this all access visits with perhaps a few surprises thrown in for good measure . At the conclusion of the tour light refreshments will be available.

Further Accessibility Details: Please phone the crematorium to discuss access needs. We do have disabled access to the chapels and a hearing loop system in both chapels. The crematorium is built on several levels with internal stairs. There is a disabled access lift at ground level accessed via the Garden of remembrance affording access to the old chapel whilst the New Chapel has a disabled ramp.

The Scottish Cremation Society is the only registered charity since its time of conception in 1895 to operate under a Board of Trustees as a private crematorium and continues to this day to provide high quality funeral services at a low cost.
