The building was acquired by the community in 2007, and has now been transformed into a vibrant and thriving community hub which is open to everyone. Our Mission we work towards is improving the quality of life for all ages and abilities. We provide opportunities for learning new skills, taking part in creative and social activities and caring for the environment. Our Youth Workers will be offering activity for young people and families on Saturday on map making and jewellery. Exhibits will include: – Informational boards of the history of the area and environment – Photographic displays – Videos and oral histories – Handling Box of Mining and Brick making artefacts – Displays of items and tools, household artefacts found – Census Records for the area. – Historical Maps of the area on display We will be running both a walking history tour and a boat trip each day. Which must be booked via their own listings.
