The Trades Hall

Trades Hall
The Hall contributes to the life and vitality of Glasgow, as a venue for numerous events and as the home of an organisation which has served the City and benefitted for over four centuries. The Trades House and the 14 incorporated quite literally built the City and our manufactured goods have been exported across the globe. The Trades Hall is the only surviving Glasgow work by the world renowned neoclassical architect Robert Adam. Despite the rich architectural and social history of the Trades Hall, too few Glaswegians are aware of the Hall and the importance of the Trades House in the development and life of the City. The building has often been referred to as ‘Glasgow’s best-kept secret’.
