The “Work-Ordered Day” is the structured routine tasks available daily that help us at Flourish House use and gain abilities in a supportive environment.
For the very first time, Scotland’s National Centre for Languages (SCILT) and the Confucius Institute for Scotland’s Schools (CISS) opens its virtual doors at GDODF to take you on a journey and introduce you to the fascinating history of the former ‘Ramshorn Kirk’ and surrounding graveyard.
Generously illustrated with pictures and facts, this short video presentation will reveal the history of the building, the recent renovation and how its use today fits in with sustainable communities.
Explore the inside of the unique building and immerse yourself with our 3D virtual tour. The stained-glass windows mention names of notable citizens and merchants that are familiar to Glaswegians. How many names can you find?
If you can make it to the building, don’t forget to follow our digital trail on the Global Treasure Trails website. Learn more about the history of the Ramshorn graveyard and follow the clues for answers. Created by young people in Glasgow City schools, the trail is available in 10 languages.

SCILT is the national centre for languages, supporting a wealth of language learning and diversity across Scotland’s communities. As a nation, we are developing the language skills that equip us for life in a globally interdependent world, thus contributing to a fairer, smarter, more successful Scotland. We achieve this by promoting and supporting high-quality language learning and fostering a climate that celebrates all languages.
Launched in June 2012, the Confucius Institute for Scotland’s Schools (CISS) is the first government initiated Confucius Institute in the UK, jointly established by the University of Strathclyde, Scotland’s National Centre for Languages and the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission.
CISS shares the bold vision of Scotland’s National Centre for Languages and of the Scottish Government’s China Engagement Strategy. We create opportunities and widen access for learners in our schools and the wider community to develop the knowledge, skills and cultural awareness required of citizens in the globally interdependent world of the 21st century.
