East Park School

East Park School
It was during the reign of Queen Victoria that East Park first opened its doors on 16 September 1874; this year we celebrate 150 years of East Park! Founded by William Mitchell LLD, East Park provided care for children who would benefit from residential nursing care and education. Children were admitted with paralysis, hip, spine and knee joint diseases with rickets being a widespread problem East Park has evolved over the years and upon visiting you will be able to see our most recent capital expansion. All our services focus on the needs of the young people and encourage partnership with the child and family. Our purpose built state of the art facilities help us continuously improve our services and skills in working with children from across Scotland.
