Your journey begins at the People’s Palace. As you stroll through Glasgow Green discover its transformation from a site of public hangings to a beloved communal space. Venture through Glasgow’s historic core to the Mercat Cross and Tollbooth, where the city’s medieval past comes alive. Learn about the origins of Scotland’s police force and Glasgow’s role in shaping law and order across the UK. The tour also showcases the murals that adorn Glasgow’s walls, vibrant symbols of the city’s creativity and resilience. You’ll encounter the Duke of Wellington statue, famous for its traffic cone hat, a symbol of Glasgow’s humour.
