The Marie Trust is a homeless charity that aims to prevent and alleviate homelessness by providing direct access to a gateway of interventions for people to live safer lives and thrive, where homelessness is prevented rather than repeated and people have access to the support and safety mechanisms they need to exit homelessness. We do this through our services:
1. Not-for-profit café: providing homemade meals through our subsidized menus, digital access, and direct access to a gateway to the specialized services.
2. Crisis Intervention Service: one-to-one support to mitigate the crisis, providing social welfare, health, and housing advocacy and representation.
3. Training Kitchen: teaching life skills and skills for work whilst developing structure and teamwork to overcome isolation through working together to prepare meals for the people who present daily at the cafe.
4. Counselling: One-to-one and group psychotherapy for people experiencing complex trauma that impacts greatly on their adult lives.
5. Education: Curriculum designed to widen access to education and accreditation
6.. Partnerships with Pheonix Pharmacy and Clyde Munro Dental Group to widen access to health
