Welcome to The Deep End!
There has been a building on this site since 1882, and during its lifetime it has housed a dairy, snooker hall, motorbike shop, undertakers, and a base for the district cleansing department. Nowadays, the building is home to some of Govanhill Baths’ creative projects, alongside local artists and small businesses.
Step inside this intriguing building to find our archive, which showcases the fascinating history and the future of Govanhill Baths; a unique upcycling project encompassing wood, textiles, and plastic; a ceramics workshop; GLAD Radio Studio; and much more! During Doors Open Days, we invite you to have a wander around our space and experience the sights, sounds, and smells of the amazing projects taking place here. You will meet the people making it all happen and have the chance to see a selection of items from our archives.
