As a part of the Doors Open Day Festival 2023, Page\Park are delighted to open our doors and share the work of visual artist, and project collaborator, Rachel Duckhouse. The exhibition titled ‘Through Lines’ focuses on the process of collaborative learning and making between architects and artists, displaying Rachel’s drawings, etchings, and sculpture. Visitors will also enjoy a selection of drawings, images, and models from a range of past and present Page\Park projects.
Rachel Duckhouse has worked with Page\Park on several proposals, projects, and processes, including the recently completed Laurieston Arches. ‘Through Lines’ presents work developed for the project which provides a new connection between the communities of Laurieston and Hutchesontown, currently divided by the railway viaduct running through the Gorbals area. The exhibition presents sketches and visual experiments exploring the theme of the ‘Sensory City’, created in response to meetings, conversations, and site visits, when ideas were exchanged and developed between architects and artist in dialogue through drawing.
