A Wayzgoose is the traditional annual outing held by a printing house for its workers, marking the end of summer and the start of the season of working by candlelight. This year, we’re staying in the factory, and invite you to join us for some festivities. Come and see us at work, and participate in hands on letterpress activities. Please wear appropriate clothing – ink is difficult to remove, so no white cashmere please! Activities will be suitable for eight years plus – with adult supervision – so feel free to bring along any budding printer’s. EXIT is a fully operating DIY, independent and artist run club and arts space which was opened in September 2023. The building on Maxwell St was once home to Fury Murry’s in the late 80s and 90s, and then repurposed into a strip club. The space has a lot of character, with the majority of the strip club interiors remaining largely intact. EXIT has a strong DIY ethos, platforming and growing the local scene and creative community here in Glasgow.
Be one of many who walked through the concert hall at the former Glasgow Musicians Society, a forgotten club established 1884, housing Ottoman Coffeehouse, refurbished back to its past magnificence.
The Revelator, Wall of Death : a Clydebuilt wooden, handcrafted circular structure, it is a community-built, and fully-functioning motorcycle wall of death and art space.
Visit Govan Old Church and travel back over a 1,000 years to the golden age of the Kingdom of Strathclyde. Explore Govan's Celtic crosses, Viking hogback stones and see our live archaeological dig.
Sharmanka features an extensive collection of kinetic (moving) sculptures assembled from found objects, beautiful scrap and exquisitely hand carved characters.
The bell tower at St Mary's houses a magnificent ring of 10 bells, cast by bellfounders Taylor's of Loughborough, hung for full circle ringing. These bells are internationally well known and are the only set of ringable bells in Glasgow. They are also the second heavist set of 10 bells in Scotland.
