Retrofitted Low Carbon Home – Waverley Park

Retrofitted Low Carbon Home - Waverley Park
When their boiler was declared ‘at risk’, Kat and Iain decided to retrofit their home and transition to a heat pump. Join them for an informative tour of their cosy retrofitted Victorian mid-terrace. You will see the insulation, storm doors, monitoring system, upgraded radiators and heat pump. You will learn about the steps they took, the costs involved and what they would do differently. Somebody from Loco Home Retrofit will also there. Kat and Iain are members of Loco Home Retrofit CIC – a cooperative set up by homeowners in Glasgow to provide expert advice and help retrofitters transition off fossil fuels and onto safe, clean energy. You can also read Kat and Iain’s case study https://retr.fit/yars or watch their webinar https://retr.fit/pxqy

EXIT
EXIT is a fully operating DIY, independent and artist run club and arts space which was opened in September 2023. The building on Maxwell St was once home to Fury Murry’s in the late 80s and 90s, and then repurposed into a strip club. The space has a lot of character, with the majority of the strip club interiors remaining largely intact. EXIT has a strong DIY ethos, platforming and growing the local scene and creative community here in Glasgow.
