St Bride’s Scottish Episcopal Church

Church from South Gardens (2)
Welcome to St Bride’s Scottish Episcopal Church, a hidden gem in Glasgow’s West End. Our church faithfully serves God and the community, making it a must-visit during Glasgow Doors Open Day. St Bride’s has a rich history, dating back to 1891. The splendid red sandstone building, designed by renowned architect G. F. Bodley, reflects the beauty of the Gothic Revival era. Inside, you’ll find three charming aisles with stunning stained-glass windows crafted by notable artists from the early 20th Century. Known for its traditional worship, St Bride’s has been celebrating the Sunday Eucharist with a robed choir and incense since 1915. The church’s exceptional acoustics make it a popular venue for concerts and recitals, leaving visitors inspired. On Doors Open Day, you can freely explore the church, appreciate the artworks, and admire historical vestments / silverware on display and listen to piano and choral music throughout the two days. Whether seeking spiritual solace or architectural and musical delight, St Bride’s will leave a lasting mark on your heart. Don’t miss this unforgettable experience. Join us and be enchanted by the beauty and history of St Bride’s.
